Blood donation is the voluntary process of giving blood, which is then used to help those in need, including accident victims, surgery patients, and people with medical conditions.

Most healthy adults, aged 18-65, are eligible to donate blood. However, some health conditions or medications may affect eligibility, so it’s always best to check with a blood donation center.

You can donate whole blood once every 8 weeks. For platelet donation, you can donate once every 7 days, up to 24 times a year.

Yes, blood donation is a safe and sterile process. It is conducted by trained professionals to ensure donor safety and comfort.

Ensure you are well-hydrated, eat a healthy meal, and avoid alcohol or heavy exercise before donating.

The entire blood donation process usually takes about 45 minutes to an hour, including registration, the actual donation, and post-donation recovery time.
